Mixon and Ellison win at Dalton G&CC

Trey Mixon of Macon, GA and Morgan Ellison of Peachtree City, GA took home the overall champion titles at the Dalton Junior Classic. The event was held August 17-18 at Dalton Golf & Country Club. Despite closing for renovations in the near future, the course was in perfect condition which allowed for some low scores. 

The Male 16-19 division title went to Trey Mixon who had two spectacular rounds, 68-67 fto get to 9-under. Blake Parkman of Cumming, GA took second place with rounds of 67-70, while Jay Beach of Augusta, GA rounded out the division with rounds of 70-70.

The Female 15-19 division title went to Morgan Ellison who had rounds of 73-84. This was Ellison’s fourth overall win this year. Loralie Cowart of Winston, GA took home second after carding rounds of 73-75, while Meredith Bennett of Athens, GA took third in a scorecard playoff with rounds of 75-74.

Sheldon McKnight carded rounds of 68-70 to claim the Male 14-15 division in a playoff over Andrew Garger. Garger took second in the division with rounds of 69-69. Wyatt Brackett took third in a scorecard playoff with rounds of 72-71.

Pierce Adamson of Atlanta, GA continued his spectacular play this year, winning the Male 12-13 division with rounds of 75-77. Drew Bacchus of Macon, GA took second place with rounds of 80-78, while Lawson Andress of Macon, GA rounded out the division with rounds of 79-83.

The Female 12-14 division went to Ella Manley of Calhoun, GA who had rounds of 86-78. Christine Chang of Auburn, AL took second in the division with rounds of 89-78.
