Close-knit leaderboard sets up for an interesting round two at Dalton Junior Classic

The Southeastern Junior Golf Tour is playing at the Dalton Golf and Country Club this weekend in Dalton, Georgia. This is the first time we have played here in Dalton and the course couldn't be any better. The Dalton Junior is hosting 90 players this week from all across the Southeast.

In the Female 12-19 division we find two players at the top of the leaderboard. Kate Mashburn from Calhoun, Georgia and Tori Owens from Chatsworth, Georgia both fire a 6 over par 78. Sitting in third for the division is Kyndall Shamblin from Cleveland, Tennessee with a 7 over par 79.

Andrew Garger from Sharpsburg, Georgia is your Male 12-13 leader as he fires an impressive 1 under par 71 in round one. Two players are tied at second with a one over par 73. Those two players are Shaun Cook from Norcross, Georgia and Wyatt Brackett from Dalton, Georgia. Charles Warren from Huntsville, Alabama looks to make a move in round two as he shoots a 2 over par 74.

The Male 14-19 division is up for grabs from any player. Two players sit at the top at 2 under while a total of 5 players sit at 1 under par. Buck Brumlow from Cartersville, Georgia and Will Chambless from Culloden, Georgia are the two at the top with red numbers of 70. Davis Smith (Dalton, GA), Cannon Crane (Atlanta, GA), Sam Lape (Atlanta, GA), Robert Howard (Acworth, GA), and Peyton Shedd (Athens, GA) all fire rounds of 71 to sit tied for second.
